Our shadows!!!

 We live in a three level house.  If we go down to den on the first floor . . . Bates and Tufts are there.  When we climb to the second floor (living/dining/kitchen)  . . . they follow us up.  In this case Ethan is in the third floor  bedroom . . . guess who’s there?
